Jody Smith
Owner | Stylist
For as long as Jody can remember she has had a passion for all things hair. From the time she was in high school she knew she wanted to go to Cosmetology School one day. As soon as Jody graduated she went to Pensacola Junior College which was a Redken school and got her cosmetology license. She has been doing hair for 35+ years.
Jody has traveled the US with her husband while he was active duty in the USMC and has gained clients at each location she has lived. She specializes in men, women, and children's haircuts and color. She loves working with hair and is happy that her passion has helped her make a living and is her way of helping make people happy.
Jody is outgoing and loves to laugh. She also enjoys getting to know her clients not only as customers but as friends. She has owned two hair salons. One salon was in Tampa, Florida and the other was in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. She maintains friendships with many of her clients from all these years of service.
Jody resides in Kearney with her husband Dan. She also has three grown children (Jordan, Daniel, and Andrew), a son in law, daughter in law, two grandchildren, a dog and two cats who she loves spending time with!

Lisa Burchell
Owner | Stylist
Lisa was born in Kearney, Nebraska and was raised in Ravenna, NE and graduated from Ravenna High School. She graduated from Joseph’s College of Beauty in Kearney,NE in 2016. After graduating cosmetology school, Lisa went on to work at Great Clips in Kearney,NE for 3 years before deciding to make a switch to Supercuts in Kearney, NE, where she eventually was promoted to manager of the Kearney Supercuts location for her last 2 years prior to the opening of BTC! Lisa specializes in skin fades, mens cuts, women’s cuts, and has a talent with kids cuts and special needs cuts. When Lisa isn’t at the salon, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Rory, and their children, Chance, Olivia, and Tucker!
Susan Vavra
Stylist
Susan has been a hairstylist for around 25 years in the Kearney area. She resides in Amherst with her husband (Jim) and two granddaughters (Emma and Kira).
She specializes in color services, haircuts, perms and facial waxing. Susan loves to see the smile on her clients face when she is done with their service.

Emma Vavra
Stylist
Emma was born in Kearney, NE and grew up in Amherst, NE. She graduated from Joseph’s College of Cosmetology in 2025.
Emma worked at Cost Cutters beginning as a receptionist before transitioning to a stylist, and then was moved over to Supercuts to further her knowledge as a stylist.
Emma’s love for cosmetology started at a young age with her mom always taking her to the salon. Hair feels second nature to her.
Emma offers a wide range of hair services for all hair types, from precision cuts to customized color, perms and deep conditioning / strengthening treatments to take damaged hair back to life.

Selina Gregory
Nail Technician
Selina has had a passion for nails since she received her first nail service at the age of 15! Her deep interest in nail designs lead her to attend school in North Platte Nebraska at the Nebraska Nail Institute for Nails.
Selina specializes in nail art, pedicures, gel polish, dip powder and acrylics. She believes in challenging her capabilities of nail art by learning new techniques often!
During her free time she is often at the lake with her son (Kingston) boyfriend (Anthony) and dog (Sandy) either fishing, swimming, or camping. During colder seasons Selina enjoys staying inside with a homemade crocheted blanket watching movies with her family.
Selina welcomes everyone with positive energy and her main priority is to have a friendly, and safe environment for all!!

Jordan Ausman
Owner | Stylist | Makeup Artist | Bridal Hair & Makeup Artist
Jordan grew up watching her mom and fellow owner, Jody, do hair from the time she was 3. She knew from a young age that the beauty industry would be her forever job. Jordan was born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and spent majority of her childhood moving around due to her dad being in the military. Jordan has lived in 10 different states and moved a total of 12 times in her life!
After graduating high school Jordan attended Bella Capelli Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner School, and graduated in 2018. Since graduating cosmetology school Jordan has worked at 2 Supercuts, a salon in “Big Sky Country”, and a barbershop throughout her years of moving.
Jordan specializes in Men’s Cuts, Children’s Cuts (she does exceptional being that she has a toddler at home and will make your child feel at ease), “Lived-In Color”, and Formal Makeup. She is also proudly Airbrush Makeup Certified. Jordan accommodates brides near and far for bridal parties of any size.
Jordan resides in Holdrege with her husband (Logan), son (Eli), daughter (Adelyn), Chocolate Lab (Moose) and two cats (Gryffin and Rowen).

Jessica Burns
Stylist
Jessica “Jess” Burns has lived in Kearney her entire life and now is raising two children here in the Kearney community! Jess graduated from Kearney High School in 2015. After high school she tried many variations of work between hotels and factory jobs, but nothing ever grabbed her attention like hair, makeup, and fashion! In 2021 she decided to follow her passion and see where it takes her. Jess graduated from Joseph’s College of Cosmetology in 2022 and earned her Master Educator- Cosmetology licenses in 2023.
Jess LOVES everything hair. Her favorites are haircuts (men’s and women’s), foiling, balayage and color melts! Jess also does very well with children’s haircuts, as well as her sensory sensitive friends. Jess is dedicated to her work and take’s pride in her services. She is always trying to grow in her skills and abilities. The ultimate reward is to see her clients smile!

Randy Padua
Massage Therapist
Randy was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. After construction work slowed down in Las Vegas, he pursued a license in Massage Therapy, finding satisfaction in improving the lives of others through the relief that massage therapy provides. He graduated from Nevada School of Massage Therapy in 2011 and enjoyed several years of being a therapist. Massage provided him flexibility to be involved in the activities of his three, now adult, children.
In early 2023, Randy moved from Las Vegas to Kearney with his wife and two young children, as well as one of his now-adult children.
After taking some time to get settled into Kearney, Randy is excited to get back to helping people through massage.
He is looking forward to getting to know each one of you and meet your needs, one “knead” at a time!

Stacianna is the owner and spray tan artist behind Golden Hour Tans, a business born from her love of helping women feel confident, beautiful, and comfortable in their own skin. 🤎
With a degree in Business Administration, Stacianna has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and dreamed of creating something that was truly her own. Golden Hour Tans is her way of combining that passion with her love for beauty, confidence, and making people feel their best.
She believes getting a spray tan should be more than simply adding a little color—it should be a fun, relaxing experience where you can feel completely comfortable being yourself. Stacianna strives to make every client feel welcomed, never judged, and like they’re catching up with a friend.

For as long as Shelby can remember, she has always had a passion for hair and making people feel beautiful and confident about themselves! Her love for the beauty industry started at a young age and continues even to this day. Shelby graduated from Xenon Academy in Grand Island, Nebraska and has been behind the chair making people feel beautiful since 2024. Her specialty is in: blonding services, hair extensions, and dimensional creative color, while focusing on the health and integrity of your hair. Shelby loves being your greatest asset to help you reach your hair goals, so you feel good about you!
One of Shelby's favorite parts of being a Hair Stylist is getting to know her clients and building a genuine relationship with them; in that they are as excited to see her as she is them. She believes that your appointment with her is more than simply getting your hair done, but a time for you to relax, feel cared for and leave with confidence and joy!
When Shelby is not behind the chair, she enjoys spending time with those she loves, traveling and exploring new things, while continuing to grow within the beauty industry. Shelby is highly attentive, always smiling and welcoming in the salon and out. Her main focus... Is to bring out the divine beauty in you!
